A lot has already been seen, said and shared about Jong and Monique’s wedding. And I know I’m probably one of the last who will post their wedding photos in their blogs.
The day finally came for Jong and Monique to finally tie the knot. Did I mention FINALLY? 🙂 It was a day that was long awaited and not seen coming by some. And everyone was excited going to Boracay, the best beach in the world, to celebrate their wedding, and also Jason and Loi’s, who were married two days after them (photos to come soon).
Jong, has been more than a boss to me. He’s my mentor, a brother, a father and a friend. I cannot yet express the gratitude I have for everything he has done for me. And Monique, who have always been supportive. Always smiling and always hyper.
It was such an honor and privelege to shoot their wedding. Even if I only had to shoot the dress up and the portraits. You could only imagine the pressure, haha!!! Thank you for trusting us to shoot your wedding.
Let me share you some of my memories from the wedding. Memories I hope to keep in me for as long as my brain would allow.
Warning, this is a very long post. Enjoy. 🙂
Awesome rings by Matus Jewellery!
I arrived on the scene with Monique having her hair done.
Monique’s dress by Cecilio Abad with matching little bride’s dress for Sabrina, Jong and Monique’s eldest.
No, that is not Monique. That’s Michelle, Monique’s twin sister. Monique is at the background still having her makeup done.
While Monique was having her makeup done, I stole some time to go to Jong’s room for some shots.
Jong with the boys! Matthew (little Jong), Gino, Juno, Jason and Carlo.
Jong checking out the clouds right when he got out to the beach.
Jong in his super nice suit by Veluz. I super love it… Veluz… wink wink… 😀
Jong on the phone. Who knows who he was talking to and what were they talking about.
Then back to the bride’s side. Sabby was super cute getting ready for her little bride dress.
Monique still doing some last minute stuff.
Love love love this shot…
Monique and little bride Sabby.
Monique with her twin Michelle. Three generations of ladies, Monique with daughter Sabby and her mom.
Monique with the girls. Kate, Michelle, Hyds, Michelle again, Denise and Erika. All gowns by Cecilio Abad. 😀
Love THE look.
Monique was so workin’ it, I just had to shoot away.
I was thinking of a shot wherein Monique would be in the middle of the road with all the tricycles passing by, and she was so up for it. Though I hesitated coz the trikes might catch her dress and Jong would kill me. Haha!
Right before the next photo, Monique was waiting for her turn to walk down the aisle. And as the song “I Can Only Imagine” volumed up, it suddenly hit me that this is really happening. Jong and Monique was really getting married. And all my memories with them came rushing through my brain. I was overwhelmed (Monique, you know what this means). I suddenly remembered when I first met Monique, and how she and Jesy bonded the first time they met as well. The memory of this time still overwhelms me whenever I think of it. I was looking away from Monique coz she was telling me, not yet. No not yet…
Michelle praying together with Monique right before the bridal march. And then she couldn’t help it and she was on tears.
Blowing a kiss to…
Matthew.
Monique walking down the aisle, at last. Check out all the cameras pointed at her. This is what you get when a photographer gets married.
One of the happiest grooms I’ve seen.
That’s Jazzy, Jong’s eldest.
Tita Beth, Jong’s mom.
Matthew and Sabby enjoying the sand.
Time for portraits!!! 😀
